North Wiltshire MP James Gray has welcomed the acquisition of 250-empoloyee Calne company, Exception EMS, by the New York Stock Exchange-traded Fabrinet:
“I am delighted to have played a small part in helping to finalise the deal, and attract this $13.5 million investment into North Wiltshire. In a meeting in the House of Commons last Wednesday with representatives of Exception EMS and Fabrinet, I am glad to have secured an assurance that the new business will stay in Calne, and grow there, and that the people of Calne will benefit from this significant new investment.”
Fabrinet is a leading provider of advanced optical packaging and precision optical, electro-mechanical and electronic manufacturing services to original equipment manufacturers of complex products.
Exception EMS, founded in 2005, provides contract electronics manufacturing services to the global electronics industry with innovative solutions for the design, manufacture and testing of printed circuit board assemblies. Its customers include industrial, energy, aerospace and defence companies.
